Hi everyone,
Many of you have called/emailed and we don't have quite enough time or energy to return all the correspondence, so please forgive us-we are just tired and trying to focus ourselves on the immediate tasks at hand.
Jude went back to the pediatrician today-he's now up to 4 lbs 15 ounces (he was 4lbs 12 oz at hospital discharge). I mentioned in an earlier post that he was breastfeeding well...he is doing great but I am having problems with my milk supply so that has been challenging. Our pediatrician is also a lactation consultant so we have had her helping us out with getting breastfeeding on track. It's very exhausting to say the least, I never realized how difficult it could be. Derek and I are amazed at how much we have learned in such a short period, as well as how much work a little one is. Totally worth it though, we love just staring at him.
Jude will be getting his first bath tomorrow (supposed to be today but we got busy with doctor's visits and trips to find a rental breast pump) so check back for pictures. I'll put him next to some of his newborn clothes so you can see just how tiny he is, he swims in everything. Poor kid doesn't have clothes that fit him, though hopefully that will change in a few weeks.
God bless.
