Happy Easter!

Wow! I have a lot of catching up to do-this week was a big week for us in the Cooley household. First of all, happy Easter!!! Jude celebrated his first spring holiday by coloring eggs, learning about the meaning of Easter, going to church on Sunday morning, and enjoying his basket from the easter bunny. It was a great day for us all.

Jude had his four-month check-up this week; he weighed in at 13lbs 12 oz and measured 23 inches long. He's in the 25th percentile for height and weight...and is doing just great! We are going to start solids pretty soon, I think he's ready because he seems quite hungry and has started watching Derek and I eat our food. So, stayed tuned because you know those pictures will be priceless. :)

We also started daycare this week (I say 'we' because it's as much of an adjustment for me as it is for him). He will be going two days per week until June, and then he will go four days per week. As much as I don't like the thought of being away from him that much, it's only temporary until I finish my degree and then I'll reevaluate the staying at home issue. He is going to the home of a woman who has been coming to our house for the last month, so I've seen her in action and I've met her family (she has three small kids of her own). It's so hard to find someone I trust, but I do trust her and I pray every day that God will protect our little guy from any harm...and that she will be kind and good to him.

What else...oh, Jude slept this week for 9 hours straight at night so that was wonderful (wonderful wonderful)...but it's not consistent yet. We're working on sleep training and trying to get him to take regular naps so that is our ongoing challenge, as it is with most new parents everywhere.

Enjoy the pictures and take good care. God bless.
